This patient had developed gum disease in her late thirties, caused in part by smoking since the age of fourteen. This condition could not be successfully treated. Eight years ago this patient had two teeth knocked out while playing rugby. He became dissatisfied with the function and appearance or the dentures he had worn since that time. The dentures have now been replaced with two implants and porcelain crowns.
